Bench Making Rainbow Style

We needed some new seating for around the street. We had some benches that we had bought some years ago which were in need of repair.

We decided to make some ourselves. We bought the wood from Woodchuck a local wood recycling scheme where wood and paint left over from local builders and building projects is collected by Woodchuck and sold on.

Before Rainbow

Here are some pictures of the streets that were condemned and then demolished before Rainbow Housing Co op took over the last street of 24 houses standing. As you can see there was a lot of renovation that needed doing.

 

Bunting Making

The craft group recently had a bunting making workshop. We took our sewing machines and fabric to the community house and spent all afternoon making bunting to use at our parties and events.
